Mr. Alexander Ivanovitch Savin, Russia, City of Vologda. Born in the year of 1949. He is a member of the Russian Federation Professional Union of Painters. In the year of 2006 he was awarded with the degree of Honorable painter of Russia. Mr. Savin works in the field of historical painting, historic and ceremonial portrait, romantic landscape. He created the series of paintings-cogitations and parables focused upon the religious and moral issues. Since the year of 1975, he participates at all meaningful exhibitions of fine arts organized by the Union in Russia and abroad. He demonstrated his paintings at three personal exhibitions in Moscow /Central show hall/ and at two personal exhibitions in Vologda. In the nineties, he presented his arts in Finland /Anjalokoski, Коuvola/, Sweden, Hungary /Mishkolts, Budapest/, Germany /Gamburg/ in the framework of the Vologda region festivals organized in the above countries.
In 1992, Mr. Savin worked in Germany at the invitation of the City of Shpetsgard college. Upon termination of the visit, he has presented his personal exhibition /60 paintings/ there. Mr. Savin's artworks were bought by the Russian Ministry of culture, by museums of Moscow, Krasnodar, Tula, Arkhangelsk, Vologda and by private collectors. Some paintings are contained in the collections of the following cities: Мishkolts /Hungary/, Anjalokoski /Finland/, Shpetsgard/Germany/ and in many private collections. The painter permanently carries out orders of the Vologda region government and Russian Ministry of culture.
In the year of 2006, he created the series of paintings on the themes of the Russian history. The series was used for decoration of the halls of Konstantinovsky Palace, Saint-Petersburg, where the G8 conference of heads of states were held. Presently, the painter works at the series of paintings under the common name "Dejа vu", devoted to the life style and the guises of Vologda citizens of the XIX century.
